Monthly Events Subcommittee

Mission Statement: "To provide promotional and networking opportunities that are of direct benefit to the continued development and success of our members and the Chamber."

Networking Breakfast:  For any member who would like to have an additional networking/business building opportunity, or whose schedule prevent them from attending our luncheons, the Networking Breakfasts are held once a month at Marie Callender’s from 7:30 A.M. – 9:00 A.M. We focus on tips to help you network, and get you networked with other businesses who participate.

Business After Hours:  Held the third Wednesday of every month from 5:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. at rotating member locations. Business After Hours is characterized by a lively crowd, along with refreshments and hors d’oeuvres in a casual atmosphere. It also provides an opportunity to increase referral networks, increase name recognition, gain visibility, and strengthen relationship skills.

Grand Opening/Ribbon Cutting:  Grand Openings are a great way for a business to get started right. New Chamber members can use this opportunity to introduce their business to the community.

New Member Breakfast:  Held quarterly at Marie Callender’s from 7:30 A.M. – 9:00 A.M., the New Member Breakfast is an introduction to our new members about the Federal Way Chamber of Commerce. This program is also known as “Chamber 101.” It is an opportunity for new members to hear about all the programs and services provided by the Chamber.

Special Events:

• Golf Tournament: The Chamber's tournament is one of the most popular in the area. Held each summer at Twin Lakes Golf & Country Club, this fun event includes a putting contest, hole-in-one contest, and plenty of great gieaways for participants! Always a great day of golf and networking!
• Women's Forum: One of the most fun and best values for women in all of Federal Way! Theforum hosts over150 guests, over 20tradetables,and features internationally reknowned speakers. A great day of education, networking, and inspiration. Held in September each year at Twin Lakes Golf & Country Club.
• Chefs' Delight Gala: Each year the Chamber hosts a gala and auction to celebrate our members and raise funds for our many programs. In 2009 we will present our first-ever Chefs' Delight gala, a culinary event featuring great chefs from the community. This black-tie-optional event is held in November at the Federal Way Community Center.
• Economic ForecastBreakfast: Is the largest attended event that is sponsored by the Chamber. Held in January at The Commons at Federal Way, the Chamber presents industry experts to provide their predictions for the coming economic year.
