Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, the 15th busiest airport in the country as measured by total number of passengers serviced, is the primary transportation hub for the Pacific Northwest.
The airport is located approximately 11 miles north of Federal Way and presently serves more than 20 major airlines in addition to a number of smaller commuter airlines, charter services and cargo carriers. Shuttle services are available to transport passengers to and from Seattle Tacoma International Airport 24 hours a day.
Federal Way is also within 30 minutes driving time of two major world ports. The Port of Seattle is one of the largest container ports on the West Coast. It is the major port of the import of high-value consumer goods from the Far East. The Port of Tacoma is one of the fastest growing ports in the nation. It is the nation’s second largest importer of rubber, the state’s largest grain exporter and auto importer.
